A device that recreates a handshake remotely. Developed during the COVID-19 pandemic when in-person handshakes became difficult, Re:Shake detects one person's handshake motion and reproduces it on a paired device at the other end, complementing physical human-to-human communication with technology.
Synchronizing handshake motion between two remote devices in real time over WebSocket, and designing 3D-printed hardware that could faithfully reproduce the physical sensation of a handshake.
